An unlucky man from Shoals, Indiana found out the hard way that a speeding pickup truck is no match for a speeding owl.  While driving his Ford F-250 pickup truck down US 231 near Haysville, James Ellis and a great horned owl had a nasty collision.  Guess who won?  Or, rather, guess “whoooooo” won?

The truck had to be towed away by a wrecker, the radiator completely destroyed.  The owl is a little scraped up and has a broken or dislocated wing, but is otherwise unharmed.  Aside from the wing, the owl’s only problem after headbutting the pickup was that he got stuck in the grille.  Apparently, real night owls are as tough as their superhero namesake.  That pickup might be built Ford tough, but I guess that the great horned owl is built Ford tougher!
