Angelo and Bridget Pericolo recently celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary. Of course, their celebration nearly got derailed when Angelo accidentally threw out their wedding rings. Bridget put the rings in a cup for whatever reason, and Angelo tossed the cup into the trash on his way out the door for work. Little did he know his wife’s wedding ring was in the cup! Fortunately, Parsippany, New Jersey sanitation workers Michael Brotons, Edgar Lopez, and Joseph McGee came to his rescue and dug through 10 tons of trash to recover the missing ring.
It’s amazing that those three gentlemen were actually able to find that ring amongst 10 tons of nasty, stinky garbage. However, you have to admire those three for coming to the rescue of an old married couple. They don’t get paid to root through trash, yet there they were, working their behinds off to find that wedding band.
