Barbie dolls are one of the most popular children’s toys ever made. She’s in the toy hall of fame for a reason, after all. However, what if your particular doll was a harbinger of chaos and evil? Well, if you’re one family, that evil zombie doll becomes a beloved family holiday tradition! Krampus would be pleased, no doubt!
When the writer bought the doll for his daughter Gaby, everything was okay. It was one of those My Size Barbies that little girls love to pal around with. However, time is a wheel and eventually, the girl was tired of her plaything. So the family went to throw it away. The first time the Barbie, named Jessica Lynn Cohen, was cast out his wife was struck with a gall bladder attack. Not long after, the father was hit by a car, no doubt as punishment for throwing the doll out. If the doll left that family’s home, bad things happened to both them and to whoever took the doll in.
Eventually, they accepted Jessica Lynn Cohen’s presence as part of the family, with one caveat. Every Christmas Eve, the doll is secluded into her own secret detention room, for fear of scaring off Santa. However, on the morning of Christmas, she emerges from dolly Gitmo and takes a place of honor by the family tree.
