Yesterday, I posted a link to a fox riding the subway and wondered aloud just why they had given up hitchhiking with strangers. The obvious dangers of hitchhiking aside, it didn’t seem reasonable for an otherwise wild animal to suddenly decide to eschew the open road for the crowded, troublesome underground and other forms of public transportation. However, investigation by Professor Stephen Harris, an animal behavior expert with 40 years of experience, has revealed the horrible truth. Terrorist foxes have been destroying the brake lines of cars!
It’s true, a series of cars in the Kent village of West Wickham in England were sabotaged. Police studied closed-circuit video footage, looking for human perpetrators cutting brake lines. But, as it turns out, they weren’t looking for people, they were looking for a fox or foxes with a taste for brake fluid. They love to chew, and apparently they love the flavor of DOT 4.
