Kris Marshall’s ride is a Christmas tradition. For the last 25 years, he’s had a variety of different GMC and Chevrolet pickups, all two door models with 8-foot beds. He feels that’s what a pickup truck should look like. Then, he takes this prototype pickup and festoons it with some 50-70 strings of Christmas lights and black tape, transforming your average Silverado into The Christmas Truck.
I can see how it’d look awful in the daylight, but at night? That ride is epic. It’s even cooler than the Christmas parade edition of the Ford Focus! It’s even something you can replicate at home. All you need are Christmas lights, a generator, a lot of black tape, and an old pickup truck that you’re willing to sacrifice for the greater good. After all, riding around in a mobile Christmas tree is a little bit on the illegal side.
