It pays to work at Taco Bell!  In Sandusky, Ohio, workers at a Taco Bell restaurant received a very generous tip from a very intoxicated patron.  The unidentified man bought a single taco, then proceeded to give the staff $72 for his purchase.  When asked to take his change, the man refused and left the staff with a “Merry Christmas!”  He hasn’t returned for his money.

It’s the season for generosity, I suppose, but that $72 would have been better spent buying food for others.  The money’s going to sit in lost and found at Sandusky’s police station, then if it’s not picked up, the cash goes to the manager of the Taco Bell.  Hopefully he does the right thing and gives the money out to the staff.

He might not be able to, though.  There are apparently a lot of rules to follow when it comes to taking tips and giving tips to workers.  You’d think every place would be fine with customers rewarding good service, but they’re not.  Still, that’s quite a Christmas gift!
