I’m a firm believer in the power of the nap. Since I don’t sleep much at night, what with all the work I have to do, I tend to catch naps whenever I can. Usually at least once a day, I set the alarm on my phone, head to the break room or some other secluded spot, and catch myself a quick power nap. Naps are good for learning ability, and while I don’t learn much at work, I do need mental sharpness. That’s why designer JiaYi Lin invented The Hermit, a portable napping canopy that raises and lowers automatically!
If this was something I could buy, I’d have one already. There’s nothing better than a good nap, and if they could somehow work in a timer and a do-not-disturb electric forcefield, it’d be the best thing ever. I mean, I’m ashamed to admit how often I’ve put my arms down on a table with the intent to use them as a pillow, only to get mystery food gunk on the back of my forearm, or worse, on my sleeve.
