Have you always wanted to try a delicious insect snack without having to buy it yourself? Are you looking to go to Chessington World of Adventures in Surrey, Great Britain any time soon? Well, if you’re in that very small demographic, you’re in luck. This Friday, Chessington will be giving away free edible insect pic ‘n’ mix, according to park general manager David Smith. Hooray, free chocolate-covered ants!
The idea is to have new snack offerings at an Asian-themed area of the park opening in March. Given the popularity of watching people eat bugs on television, it’s only natural that someone would want to try that at home, and the reasoning is these bugs are clean, safe, and properly prepared, unlike bugs you just eat randomly off the ground. That said, I think I’ll pass on crickets that taste like bacon. They may taste like bacon, but it’s still a cricket.
