So you’re been on a serious drinking binge, and you get into a bad car wreck, to the point where you’re trapped in your car.  What do you do while you wait for the police to pry you out of your vehicle?  Well, if you’re 47-year-old Paul Nigel Sneddon, you just have another beer while you wait to be arrested!

While out driving under the influence, Sneddon took a corner wrong, lost control, hit a barrier, and rolled his Ford Laser.  The impact crushed in the doors and left him stranded, so, as his defense attorney Peter Young put it, “he had nothing else to do at that point, so he had another beer.”  When asked by the cops if he’d had anything to drink, Sneddon replied, “Plenty, I’ve been drinking for four days straight.”

As for Sneddon, you have to feel for the guy.  He’s estranged from his wife, and he lost his job at a bakery on the same day his father was diagnosed with prostate cancer.  If anyone’s got an excuse to tie one on, it’s him.
