If you’re a weird animal, then stay as far away from Hood County, Texas, as you can get. That’s the home of animal control officer Frank Hackett, who shoots first and asks questions later. When Hacket confronted what he believes is a chupacabra, the famous cryptid of the Southwest, he wasted no time in shooting and killing the weird animal. That’s the second chupacabra sighting in Hood County, America’s new chupacabra hotbed!
Jack Farr, a local rancher who has also spotted the goatsucker in person, described the beasts in such a way: “I have heard of a chupacabra before, but I thought it was some sort of mythological thing. I’ve seen deer and coyotes. This had deer ears, big teeth, and pinkish skin like nothing I’ve ever seen before.” As for Officer Hackett’s chupacabra, he described it quite simply. “It was ugly, real ugly, I’m not going to tell no lie on that one,” confessed the gun-happy lawman of his dead critter on a stick above.
These most recent chupacabras have been explained away by experts from Texas A&M as mangy dog/coyote hybrids (rather than mangy raccoons).
