It’s not the kind of problem you generally have in America, but I imagine it might be more of an issue in, say, South Africa. That’s the home of Rose Fernandes and her beloved 17-month-old tiger cub Panjo. Well, it was Panjo’s home, until the 310-pound tiger escaped from a vet’s office in Springs, a suburb of Johannesburg.
I guess, technically, it’s still Panjo’s home, it’s just that nobody really knows where the tiger is at the moment. Fernandes took to the local radio station to encourage people to look for and round up her beloved pet tiger, which is definitely a pet. She says that, if you see the tiger, you are to pick up a large stick and yell, “NO!” at it, as if dealing with a stray dog.
Right, because the average dog can kill you by accident due to its massive strength, huge claws, and razor-sharp meat-shredding teeth. The tiger cub is supposed to be docile, but anyone who spots the tiger is still encouraged to use caution. As opposed to your first instinct when seeing a giant tiger on the street, which is to run up and hug it or possibly eat it for dinner.
