Fair warning: when you criticize the music of Brandin Hochstrasser, you’d better be prepared to run in the moments after your criticism. Hochstrasser, a street musician who goes by the handle Bongo Jesus, was playing his guitar on the streets of Madison, Wisconsin, when a passer-by helpfully informed him that he wasn’t very good at the guitar. An enraged Hochstrasser chased the man down and hit him with his guitar, slammed another person into a wall, and had to be Tasered into submission by cops!
Talk about your thin skin. Learn to take criticism, man! Besides, you’re Bongo Jesus, not Guitar Muhammad, so it’s not like the guitar is your best instrument. You never hear about the Naked Cowboy getting arrested, do you? No, he’s a good, law-abiding citizen who uses the courts to settle his feuds. This isn’t the Old West, Quick Draw McGraw; you can’t just go around smashing strangers with your six strings of vengeance.
