Last month, 50-year-old Alonzo Sandoval shot and killed three men as they attempted to break into his home in Ascension, Mexico. This strike back against crime made him a local hero for standing up against the thugs. This month, Alonzo Sandoval is now dead. Alonzo Sandoval and his wife were killed at Sandoval’s auto parts store in Puerto Palomas de Villa, Mexico.
“Police agents were assigned to monitor his business for protection, but he refused because he said the agents would scare away customers,” said police spokesman Arturo Sandoval, who was not related to Alonzo Sandoval. “We sent agents there anyway to make rounds by his business about six to eight times a day. He lawfully defended his property and his family and now he is dead. We cannot concretely say one event had to do with the other, but it is part of our investigation.”
These two things have to be related. I mean, he kills some gangsters, and in spite of heavy police protection, they get to him and kill him in response. It’s a terrible thing, but that’s what happens in what is essentially a lawless country where the cops are more afraid of the criminals than the average person is.
