It’s one of the age-old questions of animal supremacy. If a lion fought a tiger, who would win? Well, zoo officials in Ankara, Turkey, found out the hard way which animal would win in a battle for supremacy after a Bengal tiger found a hole in its enclosure and escaped into the lion’s den next door. As it turns out, a tiger has no problem killing a lion. At least in this case, anyway. The tiger, a Bengal tiger, killed the lion with ONE SWIPE of its paw!
The zoo still has six lions and two tigers left. No word on whether or not one of the tigers is the killing tiger. According to zoo officials, the visitors to the zoo were never in any danger; this grudge match was held between the animals themselves and no human visitors to the zoo were ever in danger in spite of the catfight.
I’m just a little surprised that the tiger killed the lion so easily, especially considering just how strong the lion is. Do you think that maybe it was one of the weaker lions? Or do you think this was just an exceptionally fierce tiger who just happened to catch the lion on a bad day? I need more information on this incident, so I can properly judge this fight.
