There’s been a lot of gluttony recorded in the world throughout its history. The surest way to remind others that you are privileged and wealthy is to eat way, way too much. Some guys turn their epic meals into Internet infamy, and then there’s Burger King. The King is pretty sedate here in the US, pizza burger aside, but in Japan? Anything goes. That’s why Burger King debuted their massive 1160-calorie Meat Monster hamburger in Japan.
Call it a Whopper on steroids. Call it a less-showy version of the Windows 7 Whopper. You can call it whatever you like, but one thing’s for sure: this isn’t diet food. After all, the Meat Monster is two full-size Whopper patties, a chicken patty, extra cheese, and bacon strips, all piled on a wonderfully dressed bun. It sounds awesome, doesn’t it?
That said, enjoy in moderation, dear Japanese reader. (Not that I have a lot of those.) The Meat Monster has a whole day’s worth of sodium and fat, as well as nearly a full amount of calories for an adult woman per day. That’s a whole lotta burger!
