Thanks to the gyrations of 19 men shaking their groove thing in a lab at Northumbria University in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, northeastern England, and the responses of the women who watched video clips of these dancing dudes, the winning moves have been documented.
In a move that made Elvis famous, twisting of the right knee was among the actions that had women’s hearts racing. Also getting good marks were quick bending along with broad movements of the head, neck and torso. Turning off the ladies were flailing arms and stiff movements.
So, what we’ve learned from this is if you’re planning to head out to the clubs tonight, avoid throwing your arms around like Muppets on the run.
