This is Nina Agdal. She’ll be taking the luckiest teenager ever to prom.

When Mark Davidson put up a video asking Kate Upton to be his prom date back in March, he never expected a response.  Not only did he get a response, he got an affirmative from the blonde Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition cover girl.  Pretty cool, right?  Well, as it turns out, a silver medal is still a pretty great prize, because when Kate Upton had to cancel on young Mr. Davidson, he got a pretty great replacement.  Model Nina Agdal has agreed to replace Kate Updon as a teenager’s prom date.

“I picked out my dress and now I’m ready for prom!” said Agdal, a 20-year-old from Denmark who you might be familiar with from her work with Victoria’s Secret, the SI Swimsuit Edition, and more.

For his part, Davidson seems just grateful for the attention, if not for the beautiful, body-painted prom date.  Said the Los Angeles teenager, “While I would have loved for Kate to come to my prom, I understand she is a very busy and in-demand professional.  I am so grateful for Kate responding at all.”

Let’s be honest.  While he didn’t get his top pick for prom date, you can’t not be thrilled you’re taking a model to prom.  While she’s not Kate Upton, she’s definitely not a disappointment.  If anything, she might be a better date than Kate Upton because there wasn’t any peer pressure for her to go, she chose to go!
