Human Grumpy Cat will voice actual Grumpy Cat.
With NBC’s beloved Parks & Recreation entering its final season, it appears that the cast has already started finding other work. Chris Pratt, who played Andy, is now a Marvel superhero in the biggest movie of the year. Amy Poehler will be fine, as will Nick Offerman and Aziz Ansari. The other half of Parks & Rec‘s best couple, April Ludgate AKA Aubrey Plaza, has found herself a movie role, too. Aubrey Plaza will be playing her spirit animal, Grumpy Cat, in Tardar Sauce’s first starring role.
The film is called Grumpy Cat’s Worst Christmas Ever, and yes, it’s a holiday movie, presumably where Tard learns the true meaning of Christmas from a lonely little girl. As if you couldn’t get enough Tard online, now she’ll be invading your televisions as a movie star. The film has been written by Tim Hill (who wrote Alvin & The Chipmunks) and Jeff Morris, and will debut on Lifetime on November 29, 2014 at 8 PM ET/PT.
Color me very excited for this movie. Even if it’s not good, it’s still going to be great, if only because it’s everyone’s favorite grumpy meme being forced to act in a movie.
