Netflix is really climbing into the original content game with both feet now. Not only are they bringing in great original content like Marvel’s Daredevil, they’re also making sequels to hit movies like Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon II. Now they’re combining their worlds, making sequels to hit television shows from decades previous. Netflix is making a Full House spin-off called Fuller House, involving the adult Tanner children and a ridiculously-sized house in San Francisco.
“As big fans of the original Full House, we are thrilled to be able to introduce Fuller House‘s new narrative to existing fans, who grew up on the original, as well as a new generation of global viewers that have grown up with the Tanners in syndication,” said a statement from Netflix VP of Original Content Cindy Holland.
Of course, not all the Tanners might be returning, but some key cast members are already signed: Candace Cameron-Bure will be returning as DJ Tanner, Jodie Sweetin is returning as Stephanie Tanner, Andrea Barber is returning as everyone’s favorite annoying neighbor Kimmie Gibbler, and John Stamos will be making guest appearances as Uncle Jessie. Now let’s get Bob Saget and Dave Coulier back and we’ll have a real Full House reunion.
