With every passing year, it seems like people are getting closer and closer to the habitats of some of nature’s most dangerous creatures. In places like India, for example, those creatures can be really, really dangerous. India is home to many rare and dangerous big cats, and those big cats are increasingly coming into contact with people with disastrous consequences for both the cats and the people. A school in Bangalore, India, was the scene of a leopard attack, causing a panic.
The leopard wandered onto the grounds of the Vibgyor School in Bangalore before dawn, and was seen on security camera before hiding in some bushes. Later, the leopard climbed the school’s wall to get back into the courtyard of the facility, where it injured three people, including a man trying to run away, before being taken down by tranquilizers. As it turns out, not all wild animals are just looking for something to eat.
Big cat attacks are more and more common in India; last year, as you can see above, a leopard wandered through the city of Meerut, setting of a stampede in the town market. In another part of India last year, a lion killed 9 people on the border of a game reserve.
