It used to be only bikers and circus performers had tattoos, but these days?  Everyone’s got some kind of ink (except me).  Just because you’re a hopeless sci-fi nerd or Internet geek doesn’t mean you too can’t get ink attesting to your fandom, just like your fellow nerds.  In fact, the spectacular sci-fi blog io9 has an awesome round-up of geeky tattoos.

Strangely enough, there are no repeats from other tattoos we’ve featured here at PopFi.  For example, there’s not a single Super Mario tattoo.  There’s no Tay Zonday ink, grinning out from someone’s raw biceps.  There’s definitely no digital interface tattoo (because that hasn’t been perfected yet).  There are definitely no amputee tattoos.

Still, it’s a very cool list of ink.  I’m a fan of the very discreet and tasteful Lord of the Rings elvish tattoo.  However, I’m also a big fan of the super-cheesy Buffy the Vampire Slayer TV series back piece.  Still, I couldn’t pass up the Star Trek original series back piece with Mr. Sulu pointing at his own picture!  How freaked out must George Takei have been by that?!
