Normally, themed hotel rooms are the purview of either the really high-end places with lots of history and culture, or really low-end places that rent by the hour and need to be sanitized with a flame thrower and a bucket of bleach after every use. There really is no middle ground, unless you consider Holiday Inn’s human bed warmers a theme, which I don’t (unless the room is decorated with living objects serving as furniture, like in The Flintstones). The Candy Land hotel suite is definitely the former. It’s in the beautiful Renaissance New York Hotel 57, and for Valentine’s Day weekend, you can check into an edible hotel room designed by Dylan’s Candy Bar, one of the premier candy companies in the world.
The room features candy buttons on the walls, a chocolate fountain, giant gummy bears just waiting to be beheaded, and so much more! There’s over 300 pounds of edible sugary goodness in that room! That’s not even counting the in-room cotton candy machine. That’s right, you can finally make that cotton candy mummy gummy bear I’ve been dreaming about, except hopefully it won’t come to life and bite your head off like it does in my dreams.
