LeBron James isn’t popular in Ohio right now. That’s understandable, since he left his hometown Cleveland Cavaliers to sign with the sunny, warm, star-filled, and tax-free city of Miami and its Miami Heat NBA franchise. However, one Akron resident, Vaneisha Robinson, still loves King James because the $5 LeBron James pendant she bought at a yard sale turned out to be worth $10,000. Talk about one man’s trash being another man’s treasure!
Ms. Robinson, 20, has put the find up for sale on eBay. She wore the jersey to school regularly before she had it appraised. Turns out, it’s made of 14-karat white gold and features over 2 carats of diamonds on it! As it turns out, what she thought was costume jewelry was actually the real thing, and hopefully some rich Heat fan will turn her King James pendant into a big stack of folding money!
