Vic Kleman is a roller coaster fan. Technically, he’s a member of the Roller Coaster Enthusiasts, a group that basically travels around and rides roller coasters wherever they might be found. Vic, from Knoxville, Tennessee, is 78 years old, but he doesn’t let his advanced age slow him down. When he read that it was the 90th anniversary of the Jack Rabbit roller coaster at Kennywood Park in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania, he knew what he had to do. He drove up to the Pittsburgh-area park and rode the same roller coaster 90 times in a single day.
Impressively, this brings Vic Kleman’s total number of rides on Jack Rabbit to a staggering 4,000. Kleman’s been riding the Jack Rabbit, a wooden roller coaster featuring two dips, no weird gimmicks, and an 85-foot drop, since 1959. On a normal visit, he rides it 20 times, so he has had plenty of practice and was prepared to ride the Jack Rabbit 90 times in honor of its 90th anniversary. Hope he took his Dramamine!
