Dealing with pests is just a part of city life. New York is infamous for its rats, and more recently, it is the home to millions of bedbugs. As for Chicago, it’s infested with Cubs fans; need I say more? Joining the more traditional urban pests in recent weeks is the humble… wait, alligator? That’s right, apparently there are multiple alligators in the Chicago River, and an alligator was caught on the street in Queens.
Now, neither of these alligators are big, full-grown adult gators, but really… when it comes to alligators… is there really an alligator so small you’re not worried about it? I mean, where there are baby gators, aren’t there usually adult gators? Or at least, more than one baby gator?
Sure smaller gators can be handled by full-grown dogs or by elementary-school girls, but seriously, if you saw a gator on the street? You’d freak out and run away. I know this because I would also freak out and run away to hide until Buffy The Alligator Slayer showed up with the beast’s head.
