Nicholas Rappold, a 21-year-old from Flushing, Queens, found himself on the wrong end of the New York City Parking Authority. I imagine it’s a common mistake: he was parked on the street during street sweeping, and thus earned himself a ticket for parking illegally. There’s only one small problem: the officer who left Nicholas Rappold a ticket didn’t notice he was dead behind the wheel of his car. That’s right, a dead guy got a traffic ticket.
Rappold was slumped over the steering wheel of his Jeep Grand Cherokee, apparently dead from what police believe to be an overdose. However, can you take their word seriously when they didn’t even see the dead guy because, as a police spokesman said, “He had heavily tinted windows. It was hard to see inside.”
It must’ve been a really dark tint in order not to notice the dead guy.
