There are a lot of ways to get your band some attention, but one of the most common ways seems to be the inspired impromptu concert. The Beatles did it way back when, and since then bands have been randomly showing up at places and giving concerts in the hope that they, too, can be that successful in their appearances. The most recent of these efforts was a traffic-stopper, literally! The band Imperial Stars used their tour bus to stop traffic on US 101 in Los Angeles, then as the driver escaped, Imperial Stars climbed onto the roof of their bus and played a show, blocking four lanes of traffic in the process.
I’d imagine people were not pleased, as the band blocked traffic at 101 and Sunset Boulevard, one of the most famous and busiest intersections in Los Angeles. The cops weren’t pleased either, detaining the band and having to call in a tow truck to remove the bus, which blocked traffic for several hours. I can only imagine the ways in which commuters expressed their displeasure.
Next time, just hack a road sign.
