It’s one of the weirdest crimes I’ve ever heard about, and I’ve heard about a lot of weird crimes since I’ve started writing at PopFi.  However, this particular carjacking takes the cake; rather, it takes the limo.  A limousine was stolen from outside a church in Dorchester, Massachusetts, when a hammer-wielding assailant forced six bridesmaids and the driver out of the vehicle.

It’s weird enough that a limo gets stolen, but that’s not where the strangeness ends:  none of the people who were carjacked told the happy couple!  The seven carjacking victims held their tongues until after the wedding was over, because, as the Right Reverend Jack Ahern said, “They just didn’t want to ruin the bride’s wedding.”  I assume the bride and groom were told what happened after they emerged from the wedding to find that their getaway honeymoon car was missing.

The limo was found abandoned a short time later.  The carjacker is still at large.  No one was hurt in the incident, and everyone kept their clothes on.
