The polls are open. Where I live, the polls open at 6 AM on election day and don’t close until 6 PM, and already people are lined up and ready to make their voices heard. Barack Obama versus Mitt Romney are in a statistical dead heat according to poll numbers, so this may be one of the few times in federal election history where your vote may make a legitimate difference (unless you live in Ohio and Florida, in which case your vote always matters). Election day is here, and Obama vs. Romney is the main event.
So please, get out and vote today, no matter if you’re an Obama fan, a Romney backer, or if you’re just voting for a fringe candidate like Rich Whitey. Just a reminder: don’t try to vote in a chicken suit, and leave your cocaine at home. I’m not going to say this is a big decision, because it’s just the President, not a king for life, but it’s probably important to do some research on political positions and then pick the candidate you disagree with the least on the important issues.
