It seems like only a few years ago that Sylvester Stallone was mostly forgotten.  That seems to be changing in a hurry, as the aging action star has revitalized his career with a new hit franchise and revivals of his old familiar franchises.  Rambo came back, Rocky came back, and now it looks like Rocky’s coming back again, but as a supporting character.  The trailer for the Rocky sequel/spin-off Creed has hit the internet, and it looks like it’s going to be pretty good, all things considered.  Here’s the trailer.

Taking on the role of Apollo Creed’s son, Adonis Creed, will be Michael B. Jordan, who rose to prominence in the movie Fruitvale Station and became a member of the new Fantastic Four as a result.  Sly will be back as Rocky, running a boxing gym in Philadelphia.  Behind the camera will be director Ryan Coogler, who directed the previously mentioned Fruitvale Station and whose track record suggests that Creed is going to be more than just Rocky V Part II:  The Creedening.
