I think I know where George Lucas drew his inspiration from when he conceived his new Star Wars cartoon: a three-year-old girl.
After watching the YouTube video below of a bubbly toddler explaining the plot of Episode IV, George must have realized there is a new generation of Star Wars fans waiting with baited breath for new material…and to start kindergarten.
A year ago, a Fistofblog staffer caught her daughter describing the events of the infamous movie and quickly busted out a video camera. Today, it has been viewed over 2.5 million times.
The clip, titled “Star Wars According to a 3 Year Old,” is a minute and a half of the girl spewing choice lines like, “The shiny guy always worries,” and “Nobie Kenobi’s trying to teach her,” that have been edited together to make a cohesive overview of the film’s plot.
Oddly enough, some of the insights this little girl shares are more endearing and entertaining than anything the media has had to say about the fruits of the film industry lately. And it shows.
Over the past twelve months, the clip has spawned almost as many spin-offs and parodies as the Star Wars films themselves including “Star Wars According to a 4 Year Old” and another video where a man improvises a song inspired by the girl’s synopsis.
The Fistofblog poster has since updated the video’s page to include thanks for the positive response to her daughter’s antics. To see the beloved Star Wars world through fresh new eyes, check out the clip for yourself:
