If you’re a fan of Jack Black or Mos Def then you’ve probably already heard of Be Kind Rewind where they end up “sweding” tons of movies home-movie style. Complete with all the crappy sounds and visuals you’d expect from a camcorder, people on YouTube have been replicating this visionary technique and sweding their own films.
The results are nothing short of hilarious. You’ll laugh, cry, and probably wonder how humans made it this far in time to end up remaking Star Wars using cardboard X-Wings wrapped around faux actors. Don’t forget the sound effects. If you’ve ever heard a nerd in the shower who likes to sing, that may give you an idea of what to expect.
AlwaysWatching.com compiled a list of 10 fan-made films representing classics such as Blade Runner, Die Hard, Back to the Future, and yes… Star Wars. That last one holds a special place in my heart, so find it below for your viewing pleasure.
