Is there anything more annoying than someone drumming a pencil on a desk top?
I don’t think so.
Instead of grating on the nerves of your nearest neighbor in class or at work with that old snare routine, there’s a better way to pass the time with a pen in your hand.
It’s Pen Spinning and a 16-year-old student was just crowned the Japanese champion. Nimble fingered Ryuki Omura dazzled the judges and his competition to nab the title.
There were 276 videos submitted into the competition. The top 16 pen spinners were brought together in Tokyo by the Pen Spinning Association Japan for a live competition in which each one vying to be the top spinner performed a 30-second routine. The teen dominated with his agile tricks.
This hobby isn’t a fluke flash in the pan. If you’d like to learn how to spin like the masters in the video below, check out the RMX site where they offer tutorials for tricks for beginners on through the more advanced performer.
