There’s nothing quite like a good mash-up video, is there? And once again, we’ve got the classic Queen tune “Bohemian Rhapsody” as the star, only this time it’s not being sung by Muppets. No, this video features the great Luke Ski parody tune “Battlestar Rhapsody” from his album Target: Audience set to scenes from Battlestar Galactica by YouTube mashup sensation nnaylime (who seems to work only in BSG). If you’ve never seen BSG and don’t want spoilers, I’d advise you not to click, but it’s brilliant if you know the show.
I’m probably going to lose my nerd card for this, but I never actually watched the show when it was around. Once everyone jumped on the bandwagon, I just couldn’t get into it. Now that the furor has died down a bit, I’m looking into getting the show on DVD, so I can be prepared properly for Caprica when it comes out. My friend Sarah, on the other hand, is the hugest BSG nerd ever, and she once told me I looked like Baltar.
One of these days I’m going to have to figure out if that’s a good thing or a bad thing.
