Is Microsoft shaking up the familiar window box logo after many years of faithful service? Well, yes and no. In a way they are, because the company is launching a new ad campaign centered around the new slogan, “Be What’s Next.” In a way, no, because they’re not really changing their old-school logo and graphics for various Windows-based products, just trying to show the interconnectedness of the various Windows products.
I have to say though, if they are changing their corporate imagery? The above image is actually really cool. I have to say it’s sleek, modern, and it really does work for the purpose they put it to in the video above. It’s a really cool, universal image that can be contorted in a lot of awesome ways. Maybe they should think about shaking up their branding a little. It did wonders for Apple, after all!
