It used to be an insult to tell someone to “go take a flying leap.” These days adrenaline junkies are taking that leap on their own.
Free falling thousands of feet isn’t necessarily the way I like to spend an afternoon, but with digital video cameras getting smaller and smaller, base jumpers are now able to share their crazy adventures. The adrenaline junkies strap a camera to their helmet, climb to the top of a tall building, bridge or mountain, walk to the edge and leap. After the parachute opens (hopefully) and they make their landing, the next step is to upload the video to the Web so the rest of the world can share the experience.
This video of five brave souls stepping off the top of a mountain in Norway and falling is jaw-dropping to watch.
