Just keep a tiny chihuahua close at hand. It doesn’t have to be the smallest chihuahua nor the ugliest dog in the world. It just needs to be your best friend.

A smoke shop in Altadena, California had one of these pooches in the store when a pair of young men came through the front door with malice and robbery on their mind. The loyal but little canine let loose with a round of ferocious-sounding barks that startled the robbers and kept them from making away with as big of a haul as they might have without the chihuahua’s interruption.

The faithful dog even yapped at the heels of the intruders, chasing them down the street as they ran from the store.

As seen in the video above, the smoke shop’s security camera captured the entire robber v. chihuahua encounter.

It just proves once again that dog’s really are man’s best friend.
