It’s closing in on the time of year when people actually want their television to show them commercials. That’s right, the Super Bowl is just around the corner on Feb. 5.
One of last year’s big hits was the little tyke who tries to channel Darth Vader and thinks he starts up his dad’s Volkswagen with the Force. While George Lucas is scaling back on blockbuster movies, Volkswagaon is trying to make lightning strike twice with another Star Wars-themed commercial. This time barking canines will apparently play a major role.
Doritos, GoDaddy, Samsung and Dannon Yogurt are just a few of the samples of 212 Super Bowl commercials debuting early.
The combatants for the big game have yet to be determined, but we do know we won’t have to be subjected to endless stories about Tim Tebow thanks to a Patriots smackdown of the chosen one’s Broncos last week. We will find out tomorrow if Tom Brady’s New England Patriots will defeat the Baltimore Ravens to represent the AFC. In the NFC it will be either the surprise San Francisco 49ers or Peyton Manning‘s little brother Eli and the New York Giants.
