Sometimes I just love people. Take, for example, this guy in a bear suit who showed up during KHOU TV in Houston’s coverage of Hurricane Ike. Even while Galveston’s getting pounded by massive waves, this dude’s out there having a good time. Sick as it might be, I haven’t laughed so hard in quite some time. This maniac deserves all the props he can get. The only thing that might’ve been better was to have a guy in an Elmer Fudd costume chasing after him.

This just goes to show you that, with the power of the bear on your side, anything is possible. No matter how insane it might be, you can do it. From frolicking in the surf in defiance of a hurricane to selling toilet paper, bears are awesome. As for this video, if Burger King doesn’t make a version of this ad with their creepy mascot The King, they’ve really missed the boat. That would be amazing.
