Most of us will never get into space. No matter how quickly or safely Bigelow Aerospace gets their commercial space station off the ground, do you really think you’ll be able to hop aboard Virgin Space and pop out to the Moon for a visit? Probably not. However, thanks to the University of Arizona’s High Resoultion Imaging Science Experiment, you can take the HiRise tour of Mars with this incredible 3D video of the Martian landscape created by British special effects artist Doug Ellison.
The video captures a portion of the Martian landscape known as Candor Chasma. No formal plans have been announced to cover other areas of Mars, but they really need to fly into the big red spot and take a trip to Olympus Mons, the tallest mountain on the planet.
