Elizabeth Rasmuson had an idea.  She’s heard about dresses made out of weird materials before, so she decided to take some inspiration from duct-tape fashions and her love of colorful gum wrappers.  So, , she decided to make her own prom dress using wrappers from Wrigley’s 5 gum.  Unknown numbers of sticks later, and she’s not only made a prom dress, she’s also put together a matching vest for her boyfriend, Jordan Weaver.

I have to say, if I didn’t know the dress was made out of gum wrappers, I probably never would have guessed that it was basically a recycled trash dress.  Now, if only she made herself some shoes out of foam rubber and duct tape, then I think we’d have a trash city version of Martha Stewart.
