It’s one of the most long-awaited television debuts in years for fans of the zombie genre. The brilliant series of comic books/graphic novels The Walking Dead, from creator Robert Kirkman, is coming to television screens throughout the world thanks to AMC and Hollywood talent Frank Darabont. FearNet has the exclusive 5 minute teaser trailer and information about the series’ 90-minute debut event coming Halloween night at 10 PM Eastern.
I, for one, could not be giddier. Not only do you have Frank Darabont and Gale Ann Hurd (producer of The Terminator and Aliens) working together, you’ve also got a great ensemble cast lead by Andrew Lincoln, with support from two of my personal favorite actors: Norman Reedus and Michael Rooker. Granted, I love all things zombie, but an ongoing series of zombie-centric television detailing the trials, lives, and deaths of a group of survivors, with infinite possibilities for casting changes and adding/subtracting new characters?
This could be the best thing ever.
