The $15,000 or so invested in the movie Paranormal Activity has returned tenfold to director/producer Oren Peli, and the little found-footage flick with what might be the best marketing campaign in history has become a full-fledged horror franchise akin to the various Final Destination flicks or Saw. Well, make sure you hit theaters the weekend of October 21, 2011, because Paranormal Activity 3 is coming.
Feast your eyes upon the glory of the Featherstone family, and make sure you pay special attention to the end.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GWb0rujdGlEParanormal Activity 3 will be directed by Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman, who are best known as the minds behind the suspense thriller Catfish. It is believed that PA3 will be a period piece set in the 1980’s and will focus on found footage as to how the Featherstone girls found themselves the target of various vengeful demon spirits. Your mileage may vary on this point, but that’s what the trailer is selling, and I have to admit, I’ll probably be there to see it.
