When it comes to the first couple of geekdom, nobody resonates stronger with their audience than Joseph Gordon-Levitt and everyone’s favorite singing actress, Zooey Deschanel.  Whatever you want to say about the two, there’s no denying they’re adorable together, they’re close friends, and they’re both talented people.  That’s why Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt singing Nancy Wilson’s “What Are You Doing New Year’s Eve?” is possibly the most perfectly adorable thing ever.

Zooey and Joe recorded this impromptu duet via webcam for Zooey’s website, Hello Giggles, as part of a series called Video Chat Karaoke.  Zooey’s been on there before, but never before has she done a duet with her many-times co-star Gordon-Levitt, who first worked with Deschanel on Maniac and later stole hearts with her in the wonderful 500 Days of Summer.  They just need to hurry up and get married, like I said before.  Deschanel stars in Fox’s hit comedy The New Girl, while Gordon-Levitt is going to feature prominently in next summer’s blockbuster The Dark Knight Rises.
